[Women's Tennis] Williams Wins First Place in Singles Competition at Tiger-Jinx Tourney

Winfield, Kan. – Jazzmyn Williams took first place in the C bracket singles competition for the Friends University Women's Tennis Falcons at the Tiger-Jinx tourney this past weekend (Sept. 11-12).
The Falcons also got a quality performance from Issabella Smith and Ariel Williams, who finished second in the B bracket doubles after falling in a third set tiebreak.
Also in B bracket doubles, Williams and Hanna Wood came in fifth, while Cha'lyse Andrews finished sixth in the D bracket singles.
"I'm proud of the way our girls competed and played," said Sandy Nixon, Friends University women's tennis head coach.
The Falcons are next set to participate in the KCAC Fall Tournament this weekend (Sept. 18-19) in Winfield, Kan. and Arkansas City, Kan.
