[Tennis] Craft fulfilling her dream to play tennis at CSM

OMAHA, Neb. – It has been Pilar Craft's dream to go to College of Saint Mary.

"Ever since I started at Mercy (High School), I have always been drawn towards CSM," Craft said. "It has been my dream to go to college here because of the loving and welcoming community. It just pulled me in."

Craft recently signed her letter of intent to continue her education and tennis career with the Flames. The 5-2 tennis player is the daughter of Loni Craft.

"CSM has an amazing tennis team, which I've accomplished my dream of getting on," Craft said. "College of Saint Mary has helped me through the whole college process and I can't thank them enough."

Craft is currently at senior at Mercy High School where she's played varsity tennis every year. Her favorite sports memory is "beating the No. 1 player at Duchesne – our biggest competitors."

Her favorite sports hero is Novak Djokovic and outside of tennis she also enjoys driving and playing with her husky Miko.

She plans to pursue Paralegal Studies at College of Saint Mary.

"Pilar will bring a lot of enthusiasm to our tennis program," CSM Coach Kim Gradoville said. "She has worked hard to improve her game in preparation to play at this level. She has pride in our program and what it represents.

"We are excited to have her join the Flames."
