[Tennis] Tennis Drops Matches with Southwestern

Doane Tennis traveled south to take on Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, on Saturday. Both of the Moundbuilder teams are receiving votes in the NAIA national poll. In women's action, the Tigers dropped their match, 5-2, while the men fell by a 7-0 score.

The women picked up two individual wins on the day. Brylee Lauby (SO/Lexington, Neb.) won at No. 2 singles, 6-4 and 6-4 over Jasmin Hruska. Huong Ngo (FR/Crete, Neb.) took a tie-break victory over Meganne Nihart at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7).

For the men, the lone win of the day came in doubles play where Jorge Chevez (SO/Panama City, Panama) and Henrique Sakoda (SO/Sao Paulo, Brazil) won 6-4.
