[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Sweeps Bethel

Doane Men's Tennis earned their second win of the season over Bethel on Saturday with a 7-0 decision. The Tigers improved to 4-1 overall on the year in duals.

In doubles action, Doane won two of the three matches to earn the single team point. Jorge Chevez (SO/Panama City, Panama) and Henrique Sakoda (SO/Sao Paulo, Brazil) won 7-5 in the top position. Sam Coy (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) and Milo Ciotti (FR/Lincoln, Neb.) won at No. 3 doubles, 6-2.

Doane swept the singles matches. Chevez, ranked No. 15 nationally, won 6-3 and 6-2. Elliott Abromeit (SR/Lawrence, Kan.) won his match, 5-7, 6-1, 6-3. Sakoda was a 6-3 and 7-5 victor. Coy won 7-6 (7-1) and 6-4. Shingiray Kamucheka posted a 6-1 and 6-2 win while Ciotti won 6-2 and 7-6 (10-8).

The Tigers will travel to Fremont on February 22 to take on Augustana at 2 PM.
