[Men's Tennis] Tigers drop season opener to Eastern Illinois

PARK FOREST, Illinois -- The Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team wasted little time in hitting the courts to open the spring schedule. The Tigers began the season by hosting Division 1 Eastern Illinois University on Wednesday afternoon in Park Forest, Illinois. The Panthers took early command of the match by taking the doubles point, winning at both two and three doubles. Following an impressive performance in singles play, Eastern Illinois would put the Tigers away as they won five of the six singles matches, to win by an overall score of 6-1. The lone win from the Tigers came from Alfonso Martinez, who won his #3 singles match in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
