A GRUESOME image of the scene after Caroline Flack’s boyfriend was allegedly assaulted shows mostly her blood, a close source says.

Blood sprayed across the bedroom is said to be from a wound the TV host suffered during the incident.

Tennis coach and model Lewis Burton, 27, was allegedly struck with a lamp as he slept at Flack’s flat in Islington, North London.

An image of the aftermath exclusively revealed in The Sun yesterday shows Flack’s bed and carpet covered in blood.

A well-placed source said last night: “There is heaps of blood, but it’s not all from Lewis.

“Most of it was from Caroline’s injury after she smashed a glass and she was bleeding quite a lot from that.

“Things got very out of hand and no one is denying that. But Lewis was not the only one who was bleeding so it’s important to keep that in mind.”

‘SHE’S F***ING HARMLESS’

Love Island star Flack, 40, appeared in court last week accused of inflicting a “significant” head injury on Lewis in a scene which police likened to a “horror movie”.

However Lewis, who is still in a relationship with Flack, yesterday took to social media to defend his “harmless” girlfriend.

He posted: “B******t this isn’t my blood and I didn’t get hit over the head with a lamp. Can everyone stop now?”

Flack’s bail conditions mean she cannot contact Lewis.

But Lewis added on Instagram: “I love this girl more than anything, no one knows what’s going on or what’s happened.

“She’s f***ing harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met.”

The fall-out has forced Flack to step down from her £1.2million-a-year job hosting Love Island.

Flack put her £1.1million flat up for sale before the alleged incident on December 12. She has denied assault and a trial is set for March 4.
