[Women's Tennis] St. Ambrose gets 5-4 win to open fall season

St. Ambrose used a strong start in singles to post a 5-4 season-opening win over Central College Saturday at the QC Tennis Club in Moline, Ill.
The Bees won four of the six singles matches before sealing the win with a doubles victory.
The four singles wins all came in straight sets, led by Kiersten Housenga's 6-1, 6-3 decision at No. 1. Meg Chadick (No. 2) and Megan Schueneman (No. 5) each dropped just a single game in their victories. Elizabeth Bush recorded a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.
Housenga then paired with Emma Lang for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles to clinch the win.
SAU will now compete in a tournament hosted by Quincy University next Friday and Saturday.
