Cori “Coco” Gauff keeps it fierce on the cover of Teen Vogue‘s new issue!
The 15-year-old tennis star’s first-ever cover story was released just ahead of the U.S. Open, which begins next week. Here’s what she had to share with the mag:
On her simple focus: “I just want to win more. I love winning more than I hate losing.”
On not anticipating the heightened attention that would come along the way as she rises to tennis stardom: “Tennis in the U.S. isn’t, like, that big of a sport, and now I have people, like, stopping me on the street and everything. I guess it’s a plus.”
On not reading too much into the labels [for example: "prodigy"] that have been placed upon her: “I try not to think about it, because it’ll put too much pressure on [me].”
