[General] William Riley Hired as Brescia Tennis Head Coach

Brescia University has hired William Riley to be the new head coach of the men and women's tennis programs. 

"I wanted to continue coaching and help develop players. I saw that the team had pretty good series and I liked the roster," said Riley.

Riley has amassed 27 years of experience throughout his coaching career, including three years of coaching at the NCAA Division I level. Most recently, he was the head coach at Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas.

"I expect good discipline, high grades, and to respect each other, as well as the staff and faculty. Player development off of the court is just as important as on the court."

"I expect our athletes to be role models in the community and on campus," said Riley.

Riley completed his undergrad studies at Stillman College, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications. Additionally, he has earned master's degrees in Exercise Science and Athletic Administration at Concordia University.

"Coach Riley will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge with him. He has developed tennis programs that have been successful at the NCAA and NAIA levels and he is a great fit in our athletic department.  We are excited to have him as a part of the Bearcat family here at Brescia University," said Athletic Director Brian Skortz.
