Andy Murray tunes up for Queen’s with some fearsome serves in training in front of huge images of himself
ANDY MURRAY must have felt like someone was watching him as he warmed up for his return to tennis at Queen’s.
The former Wimbledon champ spent time launching serves on the practice court under the watchful gaze of his own eyes on the hoardings around the venue.
Murray has been out of action since undergoing a hip resurfacing operation in January, just weeks after his first-round exit at the Australian Open to Roberto Bautista Agut.
He will make his return to competition in the doubles at the Fever-Tree Championships at Queen’s, a tournament where he is a five-time champion in the singles.
But rather than going it alone, Murray will make his return alongside Spain’s Feliciano Lopez, who lifted the singles title in 2017 the year after Murray last won it.
The duo face a tough test in their opening match together as a team, taking on No.1 seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah.
Murray is targeting a return to singles action before the end of the year, which would represent a remarkable turnaround after fears his hip problem might bring an end to his career.

The 32-year-old was in tears at an Australian Open news conference earlier this year as he admitted he was unsure how long he could continue playing.
But following a successful hip operation the Brit hopes to be back on the singles court soon.
Wimbledon will be too early but a more realistic date is after the US Open in September.
