[Men's Tennis] Moody and Rincon receive recognition in ITA rankings

Kansas Wesleyan's Michael Moody (SR/Midwest City, Okla.) and Mario Rincon (SR/Bogota, Colombia) have received recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in the final individual and doubles rankings.

Rincon was ranked No. 13 and Moody was ranked No. 16 in the ITA Central Region rankings for individuals. The duo ranked third as a doubles team in the Central Region.

The regional rankings also led to further recognition for the pair.

Rincon and Moody were ranked No. 17 in doubles nationally, marking the first time for a men's tennis doubles team to be ranked nationally by the ITA.

Moody also received a top honor from the ITA, being named as the Most Improved Senior at the NAIA level.

The Coyotes finished the 2019 season with an 8-8 overall record, which included a 6-3 mark in the KCAC. Wesleyan advanced to the conference semifinals following a 5-2 win over the Bethany Swedes in the quarterfinals, the first time ever the Wesleyan men's tennis team has recorded a win over Bethany.
