[Tennis] Lourdes Adds Tennis

SYLVANIA, Ohio - Lourdes announced the addition of men's and women's tennis for the 2019-20 season and hired Bobby Johnson to lead the programs. 

Johnson has coached United States Tennis Association (USTA) 18 and over tennis since 2013 and run a kids camp for the Navarre Park Tennis Association since 2015.  In 2017, Johnson was honored the William T. Rathbun Award for the promotion of tennis in the Toledo area.  He is a certified member of the Professional Tennis Registry.

With the addition of the two tennis teams, the school will sponsor 25 varsity sports beginning next fall. The programs at Lourdes brings the total number of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) schools sponsoring tennis to six as the Gray Wolves join Aquinas, Concordia, Cornerstone, Indiana Tech, Lawrence Tech, and UNOH.
