[Women's Tennis] Tigers rally their way to MSC championships
It has been nearly a decade since the last Mid-South Conference tournament finals appearance for Georgetown College women's tennis. It was a long-standing tradition in the early 2000s for the Tigers and Lindsey Wilson College to square off. GC last won that showdown in 2004 and last competed in the finals in 2010.
Friday evening in Bowling Green, Ky. the long-awaited championship rematch was set. LWC pulled out a 5-4 win over Cumberland University and Georgetown did the same over University of the Cumberlands.
The two will square off 11 am EST April 27 in Bowling Green.
When the dust settled eight matches in, it was all 4-4 with five singles still playing. Katie Swanson locked up against UC's Grace Steely and it need all three sets.
