[Women's Tennis] Ferguson, Cunningham highlight strong award night

Georgetown College women's tennis has walked softly while carrying a big racquet this season. The Tigers have had their best season since 2016. GC finished 14-4, 5-1 in Mid-South Conference action.

They finished second in the league behind Lindsey Wilson College and defeated three ranked conference opponents along the way. Before starting postseason play Thursday in Bowling Green, Ky. a banquet was held to honor the season.

Maci Ferguson became the first Tiger to ever receive MSC Freshman of the Year honors, while coach Jessica Cunningham was named MSC Coach of the Year – not since 2007 under Kevin Calhoun has a GC tennis coach taken that award.
