[Women's Tennis] Sweep moves SAU to 4-0 in CCAC play
St. Ambrose remained perfect in the CCAC, improving to 4-0, with a 9-0 win at Indiana South Bend Saturday.
As a team, the Bees lost just one set in singles play. Meg Chadick and Emma Lang each lost just a single game in their wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Shannon McEachern lost two games in her 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
Kiersten Housenga won her No. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-2 while Elizabeth Bush earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5. Alex Horton dropped the first set in her match at No. 3 singles before rebounding for the win in a third-set super-tiebreaker.
Horton and Chadick teamed for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles. McEachern and Bush won 8-4 at No. 2 and Housenga and Lang were victorious 8-3 at No. 3.
SAU, now 7-7 overall, will host No. 8 Cardinal Stritch Saturday at 12 p.m.
