COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

“The men’s team lost some super close matches in doubles vs. William Woods and went down 3-0 after doubles. We were unable to dig out of that whole. William Woods is a very good team. It helps to show us how we need to improve to beat a top 10 team.”

No. 6:  Andrew Block (IWU) vs. Santiago Diaz (LWC) 5-7 [unfinished]

COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

“The men’s match vs. Lindsey Wilson was an opportunity lost. We won at No. 2 doubles and had two match points at No. 3 doubles in the tiebreaker to go up 2-1 after doubles, but were unable to convert. We needed that doubles point as we moved into singles. It is tough coming back from that kind of emotional letdown. Eli won easily at No. 1, Espo was leading at No. 3, Andrew was in a super tight match at No. 6 but we just couldn’t find any other points to lose 5-2 vs. the No. 8 team in the country.”

"We celebrated our seniors today - Casey Mellinger, Levi Rees, Andrew Block, and Tyler Abbott. They have been such a joy to coach. So proud of these men and how they have led spiritually, especially this year!"
