[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis Stays Undefeated in Conference Play, Sweep IU Kokomo

WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University tennis team came away with a 9-0 sweep at the hands of River States Conference (RSC) opponent IU Kokomo on Thursday afternoon at home.

AU is now 6-4 on the year and more importantly, 3-0 in conference play. Asbury will take on Ohio Christian tomorrow at 2 PM.

The Eagles built a quick 3-0 advantage after sweeping doubles play. Asbury lost just five games between the trio of matches, as Alejandra Diaz/Kendall Jablonowski tallied an 8-0 sweep at No. 1 doubles.

Diaz and Jablonowski also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and No. 4 singles and the pair didn't drop a single game the entire day.

Giovana Kelm and Alexandra Lerma lost just one game each winning 6-0, 6-1, and 6-1, 6-0 respectively at No. 2 and 3 singles.

Luciana Iriarte also cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 straight set win at No. 5 singles.

Kendall Leander preserved the sweep for the Eagles at No. 6 singles, winning in a third-set tiebreaker 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (7).
