[Men's Tennis] SDC Drops GSAC Matches against OUAZ, ACU

RAMONA, Calif. — Hosting a pair of Arizona GSAC schools, the SDC men's tennis team fell to the Firestorm 7-2 and against the Spirit 6-3 over the weekend.

The main constant was the winning ways of Alonso Tellez. He won his No. 1 Singles and Doubles matches against the Firestorm on Friday. Tellez's 6-4, 6-1 singles win and 8-4 doubles win gave the Hawks the only points of the day.

He also won his No. 1 Singles match against the Spirit on Saturday, 6-0, 6-2. He and doubles partner David Samardzija won 8-6. Philipp Gleich earned the only other point for the Hawks in singles with a 7-6, Ret. win at No. 4 Singles.

The Hawks take on Lewis-Clark State on Monday.
