[Women's Tennis] No. 14 Hawks Sweep Hope International

RAMONA, Calif. — Finishing up the first half of conference play, the SDC women's tennis team was able to sweep Hope International on Saturday.

The Hawks improve to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Royals fall to 5-6 on the season and 3-3 in the GSAC.

SDC was able to get three points quickly. They won No. 3 Doubles by default before Sarah Urbanek and Nadine Geschke won their match at No. 1 Doubles 8-1 and Valentina Sotile and Aleksandra Emelianova also won by that score in No. 2 Doubles.

In singles play, no set was higher than 6-3 for the Hawks. SDC was able to get out of the matches with no injuries and the conference win.

The Hawks will host the University of Rochester on Monday.
