[Men's Tennis] #16 Point Men's Tennis Edges #14 Mobile, 5-4

MOBILE, Ala. – Point University (6-5), ranked number 16 in the NAIA National Coaches' Top 25, edged the University of Mobile (2-2), ranked number 14 in the NAIA in Friday, March 8 non-conference men's tennis action at the Mobile Tennis Center.  Point has won three consecutive matches, including two against NAIA top 20 teams.  Point claimed the number three doubles point and won four of the six singles points and clinched the team win when senior team captain Sam Blackburn (Enterprise, AL) won at number six singles in the last match off the court.  Point hosts number 19-ranked McPherson College (Kan.), Thursday, March 21, for a 1 p.m. match at the Valley Sportsplex in Valley, Ala., and meets number 21-ranked Northwestern Ohio, Saturday, March 23, at the John Drew Tennis Center in Macon, Ga., at 1 p.m.
