[Women's Tennis] Hawks Finish GSAC Weekend 2-0
PHOENIX — The No. 13 SDC women's tennis team started off conference the best way possible as they defeated OUAZ on Friday 8-1 before beating Arizona Christian 7-2 on Saturday.
The Hawks sit atop the GSAC standings at 2-0 and are now 4-0 overall.
SDC won all singles matches against OUAZ on Friday and only dropped No. 3 Doubles by default. The No. 1 Doubles team in the NAIA, Sarah Urbanek and Nadine Geschke, won their match 8-3 followed by an 8-1 win at No. 2 Doubles.
In singles, no match went past 6-3 as the Hawks cruised to victory over the Spirit.
Against ACU, the Hawks secured the first three points of the match at doubles. Urbanek and Geschke won 8-4 and Tatiana Harvey and Brianna Leigh-Pink won the first match at No. 3 Doubles this season for the Hawks 8-5.
SDC will host Westmont College on Friday in Ramona.
