[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis Takes Down Concordia 6-3

Des Moines, IA- The women's tennis team opened up their 2019 season against Concordia University at Aspen Athletics Club defeating the Bulldogs 6-3.

Starting the meet off with the doubles matches, at the number one spot Eisha Nathwani (SR/Grimes, IA) and freshmen Kristina Khmelevskaia (FR/Vladivostok, Russia) and number two spot, Dina Kajtazovic (JR/Waterloo, IA) and Tina Kajtazovic (JR/Waterloo, IA), obtained the first two wins giving the Vikings the first two points of the meet.

In singles, seniors Nathwani and Meagan Miller (SR/Floyd, IA) collected the first two single points allowing the Viking to be 4-0 up in the meet. Junior Kajtazovic and freshmen Khmelevskaya obtained the last two points of the meet giving the Vikings the first win for the spring season. The final score was 6-2 against Concordia.
