[Women's Tennis] No. 13 Women's Tennis Wins Opener against Biola
LA MIRADA, Calif. — The No. 13 SDC women's team got off on the right foot as they defeated NCAA Div. II Biola 4-1 on Saturday in the season opener.
The Hawks took two of three doubles competitions. The only loss the Hawks had was at No. 3 Doubles as SDC didn't have a team to compete. Sarah Urbanek and Nadine Geschke, the No. 1 rated doubles team in the NAIA, won their match 6-4. Aleksandra Emelianova and Tatiana Harvey won at No. 2 Doubles 6-3 to grab the point.
Urbanek, Geschke, and Emelianova all won their singles match to capture the second, third, and fourth points.
The Hawks will host their home opener against Saint Katherine on Tuesday in Ramona.
