[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Leads Way in All-Crossroads League Awards
MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University men’s tennis won the Crossroads League regular season championship and finished runner-up in the Crossroads League Tournament. The Wildcats were honored with their successful fall campaign with five postseason honors by the league.
Eli Steiner, Diego Freire, Grant Esposito, and Riley Worland were all named to the All-Crossroads League team. Head coach Eddy Shigley was voted Co-Coach of the Year.
"I think our league is very deep with talent,” said Shigley. “Therefore, it is quite an honor to have four of our players selected to the All-Crossroads League team. This recognizes how hard our players worked this season and performed at such a high level."
Indiana Wesleyan led the way with four players selected All-League while Marian (Ind.) and Goshen (Ind.) were next with three apiece.
The Wildcats finished the fall season with a 15-1 record and a perfect 9-0 mark in the Crossroads League. IWU returns to action with a full slate of matches in the spring season.
