[Women's Tennis] Bees win five singles matches to defeat Cornell

St. Ambrose won five of six singles to defeat Cornell 6-3 Wednesday afternoon at Assumption High School. Four of the five wins came in straight sets as the Bees improved to 1-2 in duals this fall.
Meg Chadick at No. 2 singles and Kiersten Housenga at No. 5 won by identical 6-4, 6-2 scores.
Elizabeth Bush won her match at No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-4 while Emma Lang was pushed in the second set in her 6-2, 7-5 victory at the No. 6 spot.
Shannon McEachern battled through a third-set super-tiebreaker for a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 10-6 win at No. 4.
The five singles victories were tacked on to a Chadick-Housenga 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
