[Women's Tennis] Point Women's Tennis Opens Season at Huntingdon Fall Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Point University women's tennis, coached by Chad Simpson (Fifth season), began the 2018 fall season at the 2018 John McWilliams Fall Invitational, hosted by Huntingdon College at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Alabama, Sept. 14-16.

Head coach Chad Simpson commented, "We learned a lot this weekend and gathered great experience in one weekend of tennis.  Our girls have so much potential and Coach Jeri (Stewart) and I are thrilled to be intentional next week in practice to keep developing our girls' games.  The goal of this weekend was growth, and it was great to see Sofia (Villalobos) play much better tennis on Sunday than at the start.  Joanna (Gallman) fights so hard, and I know she will earn many wins moving forward.  Esther (deMiguel) had a great win against LaGrange's number one player and avenged last season's loss to her.  And Eman (Cohen) is always so positive and gives 100 per cent every time she steps on the court.  We are so blessed with such a great group of young women."
