Rafael Nadal picked his wedgie, then played against Mario in new ‘Mario Tennis Aces’ commercial
Good ad.
Rafael Nadal is the star of a new commercial for Mario Tennis Aces and he went head-to-head with the man himself.

I really like that this commercial starts with Rafa picking a wedgie, because it was a conscious decision that someone made to have it start out like this.
But onto the actual tennis part of all this. It’s a pretty great commercial. I’m not really sure which market this is supposed to appeal to. Was there a die-hard tennis fan who owns a Nintendo Switch who wasn’t going to get this game but is somehow swayed by Rafael Nadal being in a commercial?
The match itself is woefully unfair. Nadal is just a man. Mario is a super-powered plumber with amazing skills. After a strong back-and-forth, Mario wins the point with a super shot, and poor Nadal looks like he had a pants accident.
This game looks so dang good. We’ve already established that Super Mario Aces looks dope as hell and we can’t wait for it.
