[Women's Tennis] Plauth and Chang Named 2018 NAIA Women's Tennis All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2018 NAIA Women's Tennis All-America teams Tuesday. Honorees were selected by the NAIA All-America committee, with 16 student-athletes being named to both the first and second teams, while 15 individuals earned honorable mention honors. 

Georgia Gwinnett, Keiser (Fla.), and Xavier (La.) all tied for the most All-Americans with three. Emerald Able of Georgia Gwinnett made the jump from honorable mention in 2017 to first team All-American in 2018. Megane Bianco of Keiser and Charlene Goreau of Xavier earn first team accolades for their respective schools. 

Camille Gbaguidi of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) notched her fourth first team honors in a row this year. Right behind her are Charlene Goreau of Xavier and Mariah Plauth of Mobile (Ala.) with their third-straight first team awards. Megane Bianco of Keiser and Kaede Amano of Campbellsville (Ky.) earn their second-straight honors to complete the list of first team winners returning from 2017. 

Overall, 17 student-athletes earned themselves a second-straight All-American status.
