MOBILE, Ala. – For the second-consecutive year, the SDC women's tennis team was defeated in the Second Round of the NAIA National Tournaement, this time at the hands of No. 4 Lindsey Wilson College, 5-0.
The Hawks end their season at 12-7.
Sarah Schaerer, the GSAC Player of the year, was unable to compete in the match due to an illness, so the Hawks started off with two forfeit points against them, one in singles and the other in doubles.
The Blue Raiders were able to defeat SDC in the two remaining doubles to take a 3-0 lead. The singles forfeit gave LWC a 4-0 lead before Miriam Boeta fell at No. 4 Singles 6-1, 6-0.
