[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis Ranked #1 in Latest ITA Poll
The Tyler Junior College women's tennis team, fresh off clinching the Region 14 title, sits atop the latest ITA tennis rankings, the organization announced Friday. TJC is trailed by three Florida schools - Hillsborough CC, ASA Miami, and Eastern Florida. ABAC rounds out the top 5. Tamara Arnold is the top ranked individual, followed by teammate Maria Genovese. Yuni Ito is also in the top 10, coming in at number 8. TJC also holds down the top 2 spots in the doubles poll, with Genovese/Kalani Soli at number 1 and Arnold/Ito at number 2. The Apaches season concludes May 6-10 in Waco when they play in the NJCAA D1 National Championships.
