[Women's Tennis] No. 12 Women's Tennis Sweeps Hope International on Senior Day

SAN DIEGO — The SDC women's tennis team breezed through the competition on Saturday as they defeated Hope International 9-0 on Senior Day.

The Hawks won the four contested matches with SDC winning five games by default.

The win gives the Hawks to 7-6 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

Sarah Schaerer and Aleksandra Emelianova defeated HIU's No. 1 Doubles counterpart 8-0. SDC won the next two doubles matches by default giving them the 3-0 lead after doubles.

Schaerer rolled through No. 1 Singles 6-0, 6-1. Sarah Urbanek swept 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2 Singles. Miriam Boeta won 6-1, 6-1 in the last singles match. The Hawks won Singles matches 4-6 by default for the sweep.

SDC will travel to Westmont next Saturday in the last match of the regular season before hitting the GSAC Tournament.
