Prince Edward plays real tennis in Melbourne
April 7, 2018. Queen Elizabeth's youngest son, Prince Edward, visits the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club at Richmond to play real tennis - the original indoor sport from which modern-day tennis is derived. Duke of Edinburgh International Award Victorian executive officer Stephen Mason says it is a special visit which draws attention to the awards. The match is one of five that Prince Edward will play during his tour to promote the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and encourage more youths to get involved. Royal Melbourne Tennis Club Senior Professional Jonathan Howell says the sport is like a mixture of squash and tennis. One of his teen opponents Samantha El-Helou, 16, says she tried to treat it like any other game just a lot of people watching and royalty. (AAP Video/Andrew Leeson)
