[Women's Tennis] No. 12 Women's Tennis Stays Perfect in the GSAC with 6-3 Win over No. 18 ACU
SAN DIEGO — The No. 12 SDC women's tennis team stayed undefeated in GSAC play with a 6-3 win against No. 18 Arizona Christian.
The win gave the Hawks a 4-0 mark in conference and a 7-5 overall record for the season. The Firestorm fall to 9-8 on the season and 1-3 in GSAC play.
SDC won two of the three doubles matches. Nadine Geschke and Sarah Urbanek won at No. 1 Doubles 8-1. Going the two with a doubles win was Sarah Schaerer and Aleksandra Emelianova with an 8-2 win at No. 2 Doubles.
Schaerer won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 Singles and Urbanek followed at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-0 win. Emelianova (6-2, 7-6 (7-3)) and Paula Vazquez (6-2, 6-0) were the other winners in singles.
The Hawks will face off against Williams College on Wednesday in their next match at Lake Murray Tennis Club.
