[Men's Tennis] Hawks Outlasts Colorado Mesa for 5-4 Win

SAN DIEGO — Carl Lindqvist-Nilsson went the distance in his No. 4 Singles match against Colorado Mesa on Wednesday.

Luckily for the Hawks, he was able to win the match point and secure the win for the No. 13 men's tennis team.

The win gives the Hawks a 5-3 record on the season.

SDC was trailing 2-1 after the doubles matches. Alonso Tellez and Lindqvist-Nilsson won their doubles match 8-4.

The Hawks won their 1-3 singles matches with ease as Aloaksandr Meliuk was the only one that gave up three points in a 6-0, 6-3 win.

SDC will have a 5-day layoff before taking on Hawaii-Hilo at UCSD on March 20 at 5:30 p.m.
