[Women's Tennis] Tigers detonate the Grenadiers 9-0
Georgetown College women's tennis team came into the 2018 season with a target on its back. The young women were ranked and everyone was looking for a statement win. The first two matches were against a team receiving votes on its home court and NCAA Division II school. However, what the team took from both of those matches helped as they exploded out of the gates with win one in the spring Saturday.
Still yet to play at home, the Tigers (1-2) made quick work of Indiana University Southeast for a 9-0 win. The Grenadiers managed to take just 27 of the 123 games played Saturday. GC rolled through doubles – dropping just seven games. In two sets wins across the board, Georgetown only lost 20 games in the singles competition.
