In the second ATP Challenger Tour tournament of his comeback, former World No. 4 Kei Nishikori has advanced to the final of the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas after a one-hour and 19-minute victory over Taiwan's Jason Jung on Friday afternoon. Nishikori moved on with a 6-4, 6-4 decision and will now play either Mackenzie McDonald or Denis Kudla for the title.
The 28-year-old will contest his seventh Challenger final and first since 2010. He owns a 5-1 record in championship matches on the circuit, with titles in Bermuda 2008 and Savannah, Sarasota, Binghamton and Knoxville in 2010. Nishikori last played for a trophy at any level at the ATP World Tour 250 event in Buenos Aires - the Argentina Open - a year ago.
