[Women's Tennis] Women's tennis ranked 20th in preseason poll
Georgetown College women's tennis team starts the spring season ranked 20th in the NAIA Coaches' preseason poll. The Tigers went 16-8 a year ago and advanced to the national tournament for the first time since 2008.
This is the first time the team has been ranked in the preseason poll since being 25th at the start of 2011. GC finished 2017 ranked 22nd and moved two spots for the start of this year.
"It's exciting to start the year off this way," said GC coach Jessica Cunningham. "We've been on the verge of this the past few seasons so to finally see what we've been doing materialize into recognition as we head into our new season is a boost."
