Venus Williams to meet Caroline Wozniacki for WTA Finals title

Venus Williams rallied at the WTA Finals in Singapore to beat Caroline Garcia 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-3 Saturday and become the oldest women’s finalist at the year-end event.

In the other semifinal, Caroline Wozniacki beat Karolina Pliskova 7-6 (9), 6-3.

The 37-year-old Williams said, “It’s hard to produce your best tennis at the end of the year because you’ve given so much.”

Williams has a 7-0 record against Wozniacki, 27, and has only lost one of 15 sets they’ve played.
