[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis: Point Wins Three Consolation Matches at ITA Regional

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.   The Point University women's tennis team competed for the second time during the fall season, traveling to the prestigious Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Regional Tournament, hosted by NAIA national men's and women's tennis champions Georgia Gwinnett College, Sept. 22-24, in Lawrenceville, Ga.  Four singles players and two doubles pairs competed in the event and won three consolation singles matches

The difficult regional tournament field included defending NAIA national champion and tournament hosts, Georgia Gwinnett, which ranked number one in the final coaches' poll after the NAIA national tournament; number four-ranked SCAD-Savannah; number 10 Xavier University (La.); number 13 University of Mobile (Ala.); number 15 SCAD-Atlanta; number 20 Middle Georgia State; and number 26 Reinhardt University (Ga.).
