[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Releases Challenging Fall Schedule

Coming off of the first 10-win season in the past decade, the Montreat College men's tennis team looks forward to taking on tougher competition during this year's fall play.

The fall schedule, which can be viewed here, is meant to prepare the Cavaliers for the upcoming spring season. It features matches against NCAA Division I and Division II members, as well as the ITA Regionals at Georgetown College. Head coach Andrew Cobb welcomes back nine returners from last year's 10-14 team.

The schedule will kick off with the Cavaliers traveling to Charlotte-area to take on Pfeiffer University and Johnson C. Smith on Sept. 13. On Sept. 14, the Cavs will host a pair of NCAA Division II members: Mars Hill University and Lees McRae College. The Cavs will travel to Lenoir Rhyne on Sept. 16 and then travel to Greensboro to take on Guilford College the following day, Sept. 17. The next weekend, the Cavaliers will travel to Georgetown, Kentucky for the ITA Regionals, from Sept. 21-24.

The weekend following the ITA Regionals, the Cavs will travel to back to Greensboro, NC to take on the NC A&T, an NCAA Division I program. The following day, Oct. 1, Montreat will head to Tennessee to take on Maryville College and Johnson University. On Oct. 7, the Cavaliers will host two NCAA members, Brevard and UVA-Wise. To end the fall season, the Cavaliers will host Tusculum College on Oct. 11th.
