World University Games Trials Kicks off at 2025 NCTTA Championships in Rockford
It is a clash of the West and the Northeast with a sprinkle of the Midwest and the South. We are talking about the World University Games Trials at the 2025 NCTTA Championships in Rockford, where 28 collegiate table tennis stars will test their skills to be “the best of the best”!
16 men and 12 women will compete for positions on the 5-player men's and women’s teams, respectively. The men’s draw features two heavyweights of College Table Tennis, US Team products and College teammates at Berkeley, Sid Naresh and Ved Sheth. The women’s draw features another US Team player, Joanna Sung, with the Tan sisters Emily and Angie trailing close behind!
Athletes will compete in a preliminary group stage, followed by a progressive knockout bracket to determine final placement.

About 2025 NCTTA College Table Tennis Championships
The championships are hosted by the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association and GoRockford (Rockford Convention and Visitors Bureau). The event crowns national champions in Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles, Men’s/Coed Teams, and Women’s Teams. Also this year a first in NCTTA’s history is the Collegiate National Team trials on Thursday April 3rd for the 2025 World University Games.
