‘Ted Lasso’ Star Jason Sudeikis Tries Out New Guise as He Coaches Unusual Synchronized Swimmers in New Foo Fighters Video

0 2727

Jason Sudeikis has returned to coaching.

The “Ted Lasso” star and co-creator plays a different kind of coach in the new video for Foo Fighters’ “Love Dies Young” – one that is mean, sarcastic and vaguely Eastern European. And instead of coaching a plucky band of British footballers (soccer players), he is instructing a group of synchronized swimmers who have the faces of the band digitally grafted to their bodies. It is … nightmarish to say the least.

Sudeikis, sporting a blonde wig-and-mustache combo and an American flag jacket, gives off serious 1980s vibes in the performance, which serves as an extended sketch before the actual music part of the music video kicks in. The facts are these: this video will make you LOL even if you a) don’t watch “Ted Lasso” and b) don’t listen to Foo Fighters.

The clip (see below) was directed by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and was produced by Nicholas Robespierre and Justin Diener. The track is taken from the band’s recent LP, “Medicine at Midnight,” which was released earlier this year.
