Raphael Viega strike gives Club América edge for Union’s visit to Mexico City
March 10 – A strike from Brazilian Raphael Veiga was enough for Mexican giants Club América to take a 1-0 lead home for their second leg, last 16 tie, against Philadelphia Union next Wednesday in Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, Mexico City.
Bradley Carnell opted to put his faith in a youthful starting XI, including 16 year old Cavan Sullivan wide on the right.
In contrast André Jardine banked on an experience with compatriot Veiga the fulcrum of their goal ambitions.
