NWSL keeps Trinity Rodman in the US with new 3-year Washington Spirit deal
January 23 – After speculation that she was on the move to Europe and a Women’s Super League, the NWSL has hung on to one of its biggest with Trinity Rodman signing a new three-year deal with the Washington Spirit with the club saying she will be “a franchise cornerstone in Washington, D.C. through the 2028 season.
Rodman’s future had been the subject of much speculation with NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman saying that it was vitally important that the league hung on to its biggest stars.
