Thunder trade away pick No. 24
(KFOR) -- The Thunder entered the 2025 NBA Draft with three picks, No.'s 15, 24, and 44, and used the No. 15 selection to draft Georgetown big man Thomas Sorber.
However, Sam Presti and company would not hang on to their second selection of the first round. Oklahoma City announced they have traded away the rights to pick No. 24 to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a 2027 top-16 protected first round pick, which originated from the San Antonio Spurs.
The Kings used pick No. 24 to select Colorado State guard Nique Clifford. So when the trade officially clears the NBA office, the Kings will have Nique Clifford and the Thunder will hold the Spurs' 2027 first round pick (top-16 protected).
The second round of the draft is Thursday night and the Thunder will have plenty of options at their disposal with pick No. 44.
