A series of nasty body shots eventually paid off with Wellmaker faking a kick and then unloading a check right hook that snapped Moutinho’s head around and sent him crashing face-first to the canvas.

“My life is a dream,” Wellmaker said after his latest knockout win. “It was a dream the last time and this tops it times and times over.
“The only reason I got the knockout is because he didn’t want to get hit to the body no more. Like I said, I believe I have the power to put any bantamweight out. I got that power, they can’t play with it.”
After calling for the chance to fight in his home state following his previous win, Wellmaker was only added to the card at the last minute with Moutinho accepting the opportunity to face him in his return to the UFC.
Things did not go well for Moutinho after Wellmaker established his strikes in the opening exchange, showing off power in both his punches and kicks. Repeated body blows started to pay dividends with Moutinho forced to cover up to avoid further damage, which left him open for the punch that ended his night.
It was a perfect setup and delivery from Wellmaker after he crushed Moutinho with the right hand that put him down and out for good.
Wellmaker moved to a perfect 10-0 in his career and he’s quickly becoming a fan favorite with his action-packed style that has resulted in two devastating knockouts so far in his UFC career.
