Chase DeMoor defended his heavyweight title, but it was far from a cakewalk.

On Friday, DeMoor defended his Misfits heavyweight title in a fight with Tanner Tolman at Misfits Boxing 21 in Derby, England. And though DeMoor ultimately added another knockout to his resume, he had to overcome some adversity to do so.

A massive betting favorite heading into the fight with Tolman, who was making his Misfits debut, DeMoor was in deep danger early in the second round when Tolman floored him with a right hand, sending DeMoor to the canvas for the first time in his career.

DeMoor beat the count and spent the next couple of minutes recovering, while Tolman tried to take advantage of the momentum. Unfortunately for Tolman, that aggression backfired, as DeMoor was able to return the favor and drop Tolman near the end of the round.

Tolman was able to beat the count and survive to the end of the round, but “Tank” was no longer in the driver’s seat. Credit to Tolman, he came out firing in the third round, but that went poorly for him. DeMoor fired a series of right hands into Tolman’s head, finishing the fight with authority just over a minute into the third round.
