UFC Saudi Arabia bonuses: Nassourdine Imavov, Bogdan Grad earn $50K for impressive knockouts

Nassourdine Imavov and Bogdan Grad both scored pivotal wins on Saturday, and they’re heading home with extra bonus checks as a reward.

Unsurprisingly, Imavov earned one of the UFC Saudi Arabia Performance of the Night bonuses for his second-round knockout of two-time middleweight champion Israel Adesanya in the main event. It was the fourth straight win for Imavov, who scored the biggest win of his career against a top-5 contender.

The other Performance of the Night bonus went to UFC newcomer Bogdan Grad. After dropping the first round, Grad outlasted Lucas Alexander in Round 2 en route to a ground-and-pound knockout win. Grad also took 30 percent of Alexander’s purse prior to the fight when Alexander weighed in 2.5 pounds over the featherweight limit.

Vinicius Oliveira and Said Nurmagomedov delivered the Fight of the Night, the first time for both bantamweights that they’ve earned that nod. The main card opener was a back-and-forth battle, that saw the up-and-coming contenders show off every aspect of their skill set. In the end, Oliveira won a competitive decision.

All four fighters receive an extra $50,000 for their efforts.
