SNL cold open features Martin Short joining the Five-Timers club with Tom Hanks, Tina Fey and Paul Rudd
The list of celebrities that have hosted Saturday Night Live five times or more is an illustrious group, and several of them crashed the set on Saturday night to welcome its newest member. Martin Short, who was a cast member on the sketch comedy show from 1984 to 1985, hosted this weekend for his fifth time overall.
During the cold open, Short was welcomed into the prestigious Five-Timers club by Tom Hanks (10 times hosting) and Paul Rudd (five times). He was then congratulated by fellow Five-Timers Tina Fey (six times), Alec Baldwin (17 times), Scarlett Johansson (six times), Kristen Wiig (five times), Melissa McCarthy (five times), Emma Stone (five times) and John Mulaney (six times).
The actors then took turns confessing things, since the Five-Timers club is where “you can be completely honest.”
