Thunder Can't Cool Off Hot Rockets, Lose in Overtime

The Oklahoma City Thunder never led in overtime and the Houston Rockets beat the Thunder 132-to-126 on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to 10 straight.

The Thunder fell behind 15-2 to start the game, but chipped away and the game had 14 lead changes.

Jalen Williams tied the game with a 3-pointer with four seconds left in in regulation.

Williams had 23 points and 10 assists.

In overtime, the Rockets got a pair of three-pointers from Dillon Brooks to start the OT, and Jalen Green sealed the win with a three-pointer and layup.

Green had 37 points and made seven 3-pointers.

Josh Giddey led OKC with a season high 31 points, but the Thunder were playing without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who sat out the game to nurse a thigh contusion.

Three Thunder bench players had double figures in points, with Isaiah Joe scoring 17 points.

Aaron Wiggins added 16 points and Gordon Hayward had 13 points, his high in an OKC uniform.

The Thunder outshot Houston 49 percent to 48 percent from the field but had 19 turnovers.

OKC falls to 50-22 on the season, tied with Minnesota for second place in the Western Conference standings, one game behind Denver.

The Thunder finish their two-game homestand when they host Phoenix Friday night at 7:00 pm.
